GreenLaces unites the environmental community and empowers people to showcase their values by wearing 100% recycled plastic GreenLaces™ and making a Promise to the Planet™. Started by professional athlete, Natalie Spilger, GreenLaces propels its symbolic movement using community heroes, like athletes (including hundreds of Olympians, Pros and more). Funds generated from laces' sales go to environmental initiatives through GreenLaces Green It ForwardTM campaign.
GreenLaces specifically uses sports by activating the athletic community to improve the planet through athlete I.C.E. (Inspiring, Connecting and Educating). GreenLaces enables icons to INSPIRE ACTION. Fans emulate athletic heroes, and GreenLaces gives role models a symbol of GreenLaces and a voice through a Promise to express environmental stewardship. Their iconic statement inspires fans to follow in their GreenLaced footsteps. GreenLaces CONNECTS a global COMMUNITY.
A deteriorating planet is a global problem and athletes exist everywhere. GreenLaces establishes a visual presence in communities worldwide by connecting athletes with a uniting emblem. GreenLaces creates a healthier planet by providing tools to EDUCATE FANS. Athletes need healthy air and water to perform. GreenLaces empowers athletes to keep the air clean and the playgrounds green by providing them with tools (Green Your Game programs, Fan Sponsorship, etc) to educate fans.
