More about Spur Soccer Masidlale program
The Spur Soccer Masidlale programme was launched by Spur Steak Ranches in 2005 to feed the need to develop soccer and life skills amongst young South Africans from disadvantaged backgrounds. This would galvanize participation and more interest from kids within the communities leading up and beyond 2010. The Spur Soccer Masidlale launched with eight one-day soccer clinics in select provinces and now runs for 10 consecutive weeks within four major provinces.
Spur Advertising conseptualized the program along with an external organization that ran the program on the gound. The program runs closely with the assistance on the local department of Sport and recreation for the use of the local facilities and government employed school coaches. The participating schools are nominated by the sport and recreation department close to the central sport facility within walking distance. The organization employed by Spur to ran the program coordinates with the schools and coaches regarding the running of the program
