We believe that our grassroots oriented mission can serve as an excellent vehicle to teach and promote community service to children across the United States and raise environmental and gloabal awareness. Our operating model is simple and is something children can relate to – Help children who may be less fortunate by donating your used sports equipment or organizing a sports equipment collection drive in your community.

By participating in Sports Gift, the student helps the environment and impoverished children. There is no better way to teach kids about community service than through a hands-on project where children have the opportunity to share something they love with those less fortunate. Our Collection Leader program allows youth volunteers scouts, church groups and sports clubs, the resources to teach children about community service through sports.

Through our programs, children will learn about the lives of needy children around the world and how they can directly help these children through a simple community service project. Children who participate in our programs will experience the joy and satisfaction that community service can bring as well as the impact they can have on the world around them. We hope our programs will instill in children a lifelong commitment to and passion for community service.

The proposed project is comprised of two companion programs we have developed in support of this objective: Under the Sports Gift Collection Leader community service program, students, groups and others organize a collection of new and gently used sports equipment in their community at local schools, sports leagues and other locations. Sports Gift provides the volunteers program materials including a Collection Guide, promotional flyer templates, etc. Once the volunteer completes the collection, they package and ship the sports equipment to Sports Gift’s main offices in Orange County, California.
