Sport BC, the founder of KidSport, has been using sport as a social tool to reduce the impacts of poverty on children across the country. This granting program removes the financial barriers to children participating in organized sport, who would not be able to participate due to poverty.
This program provides these children an opportunity to gain the benefits of participating in sport including: health, mentorship, teamwork, inclusion, structure and many other benefits that poverty could no longer hold them back from. Sport BC has committed over 17 years of building this program to ensure that all kids can play.
