The Annual Intercultural Soccerfest is the second biggest intercultural Soccer tournament in Europe. Combined with cultural activities, this high profile event held over a two-day period in Dublin City is now in its 13th year. Bringing together teams (men, women and youths) that represent over 40 nationalities living in Ireland. World Music and dance is provided and activities for children include Afghan Kite Running and Chinese Rope Jumping and Face painting.
Soccerfest provides a safe, welcoming environment for all people to come together from all over Ireland and abroad including local indigenous Traveller community and Ethnic Minorities to engage in dialogue and get to know each other through the universal language of sport. Soccerfest celebrates and values diversity and inclusion.
Participants compete, socialise, enjoy performances and receive information on Global Development and Health from our strategic partners. In making Soccerfest relevant and accessible to as wide a public as possible, SARI endeavors to be inclusive of everyone. SARI’s evaluation of Soccerfest lead to the introduction of the SARI Women’s Soccer Tournament in 2006, 6 Teams participated. 2007 SARI initiated the boys and girls Youth Tournament. 2008 Count Us In Youth Festival with a wider range of sports on offer.
