More about World at Play
We believe access to sport and the freedom to play more generally, regardless of gender, religion or ethnicity, without fear, prejudice or intimidation is an integral part of every young life. Helping children laugh, smile and feel at peace with themselves, their surroundings and their peers builds confidence, helping them integrate with the world around them.
Since 2004 we have been delivering specially designed, inclusive and educational sport and play projects to marginalized and ostracized children and young adults, our current projects are implemented across South East Europe, and in refugee camps in Turkey and Bulgaria, where in particular we need to be inclusive of all nationalities, including host communities to encourage integration - our goal through our programs is to change attitudes, behaviors and lives for the better through the power of sport of play.
Our activities have been designed for us by a team of outdoor instructors and play therapists, and are designed to be fully inclusive and participatory to appeal to both females and males. We achieve gender balance in our projects by bespoke delivery in a mixed environment or if relevant, single sex groups to suit
