More about Work to Play
Urban Initiatives utilizes soccer in order to teach participants about healthy behaviors, academic achievement and social-emotional learning. A significant hurdle children in inner city Chicago face are poor health due to inadequate nutrition and exercise and in part to the characteristics of urban environments and we utilize soccer as the vehicle to help provide a safe space for participants to develop healthy habits and to have fun.
