More about We Own The Future
The children and youngsters we work with are living in a context of poverty and social exclusion. They are forced to shape their future in a neighborhood where violence reins, both domestic and drugs related, as well as unemployment, abuse and truancy. Rosario has a rate of 15 homicides per 100.000 inhabitants; the highest of the whole country. Around 62% of children living in Argentina are poor. Drugs related crime is on the rise. In this context children are the most vulnerable, lacking the skills to break through this negative cycle.
Trough sports we help youngsters to develop soft skills and emotional intelligence needed to deal with this complex scenario. By having these new capacities they can control their present and create a better future.
