More about Water for the West
The Colorado River an ecological staple in which we share a namesakesupplies drinking water, food, energy, recreation and work for 30 million Americans, but it’s so depleted that it no longer reaches the sea. Our athletics programs were already net-zero carbon, zero waste, and zero pesticide, it was time for us to tackle our water footprint. We partnered with Change the Course to balance our water use via restoration projects, operational efficiencies, and water conservation infrastructure installed in low income neighborhoods. In line with our goal of using the athletics platform to encourage sustainable behaviour, we developed activations to involve fans and community members.
