More about Walking Football
Due to the higher life expectancy of people, the people in Europe live longer then ever before. But because people live longer, health issues and the risk of social isolation are a growing issue for people of 50 years and older.
Our Walking Football Methodology, a slow version of the beautiful game, provides almost everyone the opportunity to start playing again and provides elderly people from various backgrounds with valuable tools, experiences and training sessions to actively improve their quality of life through sport.
With European Legends, we inspire and support grassroots clubs and the community foundations of professional football clubs to integrate Walking Football or Walking Sports (Basketball / Field Hockey / Handball) in their activities and sessions that will contribute and focus on the improvement of elderly’s life quality (increase “healthy years”) by keeping them physically and socially active and live independent in their community as long as possible.
