The Haitian Initiative (H & I) takes place in Cite Soleil, the poorest neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The children in H & I face situations unimaginable to many Westerners, including extreme hunger, lack of access to clean drinking water, and endemic gang violence. H & I is working not only to provide high quality soccer programming for the children of Cite Soleil, but access to opportunities for personal growth and options beyond a life of violence and gang activity.
