More about Sports Mentoring Japan
Sports Mentoring is a six-month one-on-one Mentoring program using sport, matching university students to elementary ones from DV (Domestic Violence) program.
The purpose of the program is to provide children who do not have the access to sport, and have them gain the confidence, as well as big sisters and brothers whom they can trust.
We helped single mother families in the inaugural year in 2014, but started to help children from DV victim families mostly with PTSD, as they are found farther to the sport and the impact was much greater.
