More about sports for health and iclusion
ANDY has implemented a 3 year sports for health project for youth with disabilities in 2011-2013. The project is currently implementing a project dubbed sports for inclusion. This project uses sport as a tool to reach out to children with disabilities who are out of school. This is in realization of how important play is for every child.sports is used to break the stigma and discrimination in learning institution to promote integration and improve access to education for children with disabilities. ANDY work with qualified paralympic sports coaches to instill hope to children and parents of children with disabilities. The coaches have traveled wide and far through sports therefore acts as role models and motivation to this target groups. ANDY uses sport since its a universal tool which breaks the barrier yet children and youths with disabilities have been left out on sports and recreational activities.
