Snider Hockey is a cutting edge program that couples the sport of hockey with rigorous off-ice activities consisting of supplemental educational services and a nationally acclaimed life skills curriculum designed to build classroom skills and character in high-risk youth from Philadelphia and Camden. Hockey is simply the hook used to gain and hold the attention of boys and girls to keep them fully engaged in activities that strengthen physical, academic, and emotional development.
Snider Hockey programs advance its mission to build lives and unite communities through initiatives that are committed to the core objective that one day, all young people in the City of Philadelphia will use education as a springboard to empower themselves to build healthy, happy lives; be leaders in their families, workplaces and communities; and exemplify be productive citizenship.
