More about Smile4life
Smile 4 Lifeis a small organization based in the slum of korgocho,Nairobi ,Kenya with the aim of eradicating poverty through Education, eradicating crime, preveting the spread of Hiv/Aids,impacting hope to childrens homes, and saying No to rape,we are therefore using football a tool for social change in the community.
.With this we have been calling upon well wishers to donate for school uniforms and schoolfees, whereby we take them back to school and they also play football in the school teams, some of them have goten full scholarships, and some got half of it.
Due to lack of enough funds we have so far goten 30 girls and 38 boys backto school,Smile 4 life as the name suggest brings back a bright life to the kids in the slum.our expectation is cover a alarge part of the slum which is among the biggest in the country.
.With Smile 4 life we also use football and intergrate with life skill messages, like decision making, saying no to drug abuse, health, self esteem, peer pressure.
In association to the sports department we organize workshops, courses and educate them about all this,so we have some of them using their achievements to teach others, they are a good example to some of them.
