More about SEED Project
SEED Project uses basketball as a tool to inspire, educate and empower youth across the African continent. Based in Senegal and founded in 1998, the organization has been a pioneer in using sport as a vehicle for educational, economic and social development. The focus on quality education, gender equality and high-level basketball training has resulted in a sport for development initiative providing solutions to pressing issues in the region and continent as a whole. The programs at SEED Project are designed to equip young people with the education and skills they need to succeed in life and address the issues surrounding access to education and gender inequality. Through this, SEED is hoping to re-define the student-athlete model and develop socially conscious leaders that will continue to help drive the continent forward.
