More about Scoring for a better live
Colombia has suffered internal displacement as a result of five decades of war. Population of rural areas in conflict migrated to the cities to inhabit the periphery of the urban centers. In this context, the Colombianitos Foundation began operating 17 years ago with the design and implementation of the program Goals For a Better Life, which aims to encourage young people in vulnerable areas to develop social-emotional skills associated with coexistence, leadership and construction of peace, through the practice of soccer. Two years ago we develop an alliance with the public sector to work with public educational institutions. This led us to align with the Public Education Policy. Thanks to this, we improve sustainability and give teachers and students new tools for their development, including the planning and execution of sports strategies that develop social skills and assertive resources for the peaceful resolution of conflicts, as well as community building.
Until 2015 Colombianitos had benefited 47.464 young people. Since 2016 we have benefited 33.817 young people, training 277 teachers in 98 schools.
