More about Home for Youth Development Organization
The issue of unequal distribution of educational resources have become the necessary reason for HYDO to take it upon itself to use sport and drama activities to raise funds for establishment of Daycare/Childcare Centers for few communities with the view to offering pre-school education to the children, libraries and Information Communication and Technology (ICT) training centers to ensure equal access to information in the rural communities as compared with their counterparts in the urban sectors.
Through sport and drama activities, women/girls and men/boys are educated to be aware of the effect of the causes, spread and prevention of HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases. They are sensitized that people living with HIV/AIDS need equal treatment and benefit of resource allocation as compared with any other person. This is aimed at ending the stigma attached to people living with HID/AIDS.
HYDO has systems in place where parents are supported with the care costs such as grants and learning materials for youth and children with special cases. The aim is to ensure that youth/children with special cases enjoy equal entitlement as compared with youth/children without special cases.
