More about Right To Play Sport and Play Program for Peace and Development Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan
Right To Play uses specially designed structured play based learning activities with young children and youth in selected 50 government schools of district Mardan. Right To Play trains local youth as community leaders and coaches to carry out play based learning activities with children and youth on a regular basis to improve life skills of children.
Through structured and repetitive play based learning activities, children are provided an opportunity to reflect over the present and past experiences which they had and connect it to the present life to learn through and then apply it to situations that they may face in future. Sport program for peace and development is an integral part of school time table which encourages co-curricular activities at school level.
Right To Play, play based learning activities encourage youth and children to think critically and interact socially to address emerging conflicts in the community in a peaceful way. The basic life skills that are developed through this reflective learning through play are anger management, tolerance, understanding self and others and managing other emotions that foster peace.
