Read, Write & Go Educational Opportunity Incentive Programs: We require participation in our reading, writing & educational programs to enable our youth (and their families) to go free to college basketball games & lectures as part of our efforts to encourage reading. writing & education for our inner-city youth. Expressing and carrying out our you-have-to-work-for-what-you-want-in-life philosophy, our Read, Write & Go programs provide that our youth participants will do the following:
READ something/anything of any length;
WRITE something/anything what she/he has read; and then he/she (and family members) will be able to
GO free(and by a free bus) to one of several desirable events, which usually are college basketball games since it helpsIn addition, of the 15 public grade schools in the area, where we concentrate our efforts, all 15 were among the 25% in the state with the lowest average passing rate on statewide standardized tests.
