More about Promotion of Peace though All Pakistan Fatima Jinnah Gold Cup Women Hockey Tournament

Women experience discrimination on the basis of their gender. It is believed that a women primary role lies in the home. As a result of this exclusion, women have higher illiteracy rates and lower employment rates than men. This results in talented girls / women athletes from poor homes whose parents cannot afford quality basic education or sports for their children.
Education and health sports activities have positive impact on different societal factors. Hence having taken part in various conferences, workshop, seminars and debates TPO learnt to use sports as a platform to increase the interest of students in getting education independently i.e. by earning scholarships. Our project aims at addressing the issue of illiteracy amongst young athletes in Pakistan who drop out of school because their families cannot meet their education or sport’s needs. Our projects is tailored to creates a platform where our students can both get educated and get trained in sports as well as get exposed to opportunities in becoming professional athletes a platform no organization in Pakistan currently offering.
