More about Northeast Pathways Project
The Northeast Pathways project utilizes sport as an engagement tool to drive the engagement and achievement of its students.
The communities of Taita, Pomare and Stokes Valley face some of the harshest socio-economic conditions in our country. Frequently over-represented in adverse poverty, population health, and crime statistics, students in these communities face a range of distractions to their education. Given that our community respond strongly to sport, this project was borne out of a desire from local educators to provide more compelling and relevant class content, which would support their efforts to present a brighter future for local students.
