More about Moments of Happiness for Traumatized Children in Bethlehem

Skateboarding has an intercultural and social integrative character. SOS-kids and children off the project are skating together, whatever religion, provenience or gender they have. Skating unites – and the children take this spirit to the community. It’s recognizable that the motoric abilities and the language acquisition achieve progress. Furthermore there are major advances on the biopsychosocial step identifiable. As a consequence of this the children develop a certain determination. The internalize of the main mission of Skateboarding - “It isn’t a disgrace to fall if you get up and try it again until you succeed” - has a great impact on this change in behavior of the children too. They act more ambitious and demonstrate social commitment. Beside this, our international Volunteers take care for international understanding in the wider community. Prejudices are reduced.
