More about MLSE LaunchPad (MLSELP): A Model of Collaboration
Located in Toronto’s urban centre of Moss Park, MLSE LaunchPad serves as an ambitious ‘living lab’ to measure how sport improves the lives of youth. Our 42,000sq ft facility is an incubator for collaboration. In addition to sport programs developed by our team of coaches, we host expert non-profit partners who deliver best-in-class programming that support our 4 Pillars: Health Body, Healthy Mind, Ready For School and Ready For Work. We use sport as the hook for youth to access enriched school and work readiness programs designed to holistically address the development needs of children and youth. Our leading edge, integrative programming strategy, teaches youth the essential life skills that ensure they are physically and mentally healthy, ready for school, and eventually work. Participants come in to our facility each day of the week with our programming partners, and along with innovative partner curriculum, participants engage in sport and physical activity with our well-trained coaches. Our overall goal is to provide a space for organizations to collaborate on innovative Sport For Development programming, with the end impact of arming youth to compete in life.
