More about Management of sports infrastructure and public recreation in Santiago de Cali
The city of Cali has traditionally had more than 500 sports venues under its responsibility. These scenarios have suffered from processes of administration, maintenance and permanent adaptation. Additionally, sports venues have been co-opted by third parties that have impeded the access of the community in general and for all people to make use of them.
With the presence of territorial managers has begun a process of identification and characterization of scenarios that allows to know among others its use, its status and conditions, in addition to approaching communities to be involved in the use of sports infrastructure.
A collaborative management model has been implemented that has begun, and which can be replicable in other parts of the country and the world.
The main strategy has been called COCIDES, these are participatory meetings between all those who use or want to use the scenarios, and common agreements are established so that all benefit from the immense infrastructure that the city has.
