More about Let's Play Physical Education Challenge
The lack of physical activity and sports participation leads to a number of problems in health and social psychology amongst underprivileged children in South Africa. The insight identified by SuperSport was that all these various challenges are severely inhibiting the skills learned through play, physical education and sport that are foundational to the holistic development of young people. Due to the strong sporting influence in South Africa, SuperSport is perfectly poised to make a difference in society.
Although the many results are hard to quantify, the fact that there are tens of thousands of young lives being touched by Let’s Play every week demonstrates the substantial penetration that this initiative has achieved. The symbiotic relationship between SuperSport and Let’s Play has fueled the success of this initiative. Let’s Play has begun to form its own unique identity, it has become a strong sub-brand of SuperSport. No CSI related brand can be created overnight: that such a sub brand has been established in 10 years - in a sustained way and with the support of an increasing number of public and corporate participants – is testimony to Let’s Play’s social relevance.
