More about L.A. Clippers Foundation
The L.A. Clippers Foundation, through the leadership of owner Steve Ballmer, inspires children through the game of basketball and utilizes its unique position to provide resources and opportunities that make a positive difference toward leveling the playing field for youth in Southern California. The Clippers’ goal is to progressively impact lives, remain accountable, and excel in being charitable, while motivating their corporate partners and fans to meet their passion and exceed their investment.
During the past year, in addition to doing “the basics,” the Clippers solved several major problems facing the L.A. community. By empowering and enabling local community organizations, the Clippers solved the vision problem for L.A. public school students by partnering with non-profit Vision To Learn to provide free vision screening and glasses for all 600,000+ students. The Clippers also pledged to renovate every public basketball court in Los Angeles – which will give all geographic and economically diverse areas of L.A. access to youth sports programming coming to L.A. from the International Olympic Committee – through a major gift to L.A.’s Parks Foundation.
