More about Jugando por mis Derechos "Playing for my Rights"
We are a group of Mazahua woman that defends and promotes human rights and other indigenous woman. Our priority is to defend sexual and reproductive rights. We insure that when a girl start to discover her body she can love and defend it as her own territory, her life radically change. We can use football as a way to get to the girls and empower them. Football us one of the most important sports in the world, can move wishes and enwrage passion for this sport. The girls want to play football; we take them a professional trainer and send them to other communities so they can relate with new people that also love football. Now we have 4 girls with one hundred porcent scholarships, they study in a school where they can learn French, English and they are considered high performance athletes. This girls are an example of overcoming. For us the most important thing is their education and “we are shure that football passion can achive dignity in our womens lifes”.
