More about Girls' Leadership and Inclusion through Sports
Acting as a microcosm of the Israeli Society, Sport provide young girls with a safe space where they can build their social network and practice their leadership skills, such as team work, goal setting, responsibility, crisis management, pursuit of excellence and overcoming obstacles. By fitting the girl's close environment to their needs and giving them tools to overcome difficulties and challenges that are unique for girls in sports, we equip them with tools to overcome future obstacles outside the world of sports.
Researches have shown that girls who participate in sport have higher self-esteem and self-efficacy as well as a better body image than girls who do not engage in sports. In addition, female athletes perform in their lives with more self-confidence, and are more independent both in sports and in social situations.
