All of us at Girl Determined do our best to bring fun and interesting activities to you girls between the ages of 12 and 17. We really want to give you the best chance to be strong, thoughtful, active, good in teamwork and able to lead yourself in others to change the things in your communities that you do not like or do not agree with. We met in groups, called Colorful Girls groups, to times a week. In the group you will have the chance to learn communication skills, health information, team games, volleyball skills, negotiation tools, goal setting and much more. Colorful Girls is mostly fun, but will also push you to be your best self by learning new things and working closely with the other girls from your community. When other girls have been a part of our program they have told me, “Colorful Girls are different from other girls. We have become confident and use our voices. In class we participate more and in community life we stand out. “ One girls told me that since she joined Colorful Girls her parents have noticed her leadership abilities and now allow her to be a part of family decision-making.
