Through GOGA we will be using physical activity and sport as a tool to;
Improve health and well-being, creating improved life chances, alleviating social isolation and reducing the long term cost of health and social welfare through programme delivery and reach
Create a positive change in the perception of disabled people in communities (by both disabled and non-disabled people) by working with and supporting key partners across the UK to increase their confidence and competence to fully include disabled participants. Produce and promote positive case studies and role models. Show outcomes relating to attitude change and challenge and address negative perceptions regarding disabled people through the delivery of a range of education and training courses
Bring communities together over a shared inclusive initiative. The impact of which can improve services in the locality, as well as build trust in an inclusive way recognising the diversity of communities and the opportunity to improve access to active recreation.
