More about Get Out Get Active
GOGA is led by a consortium of partners with expertise in engaging diverse communities across the UK, GOGA aims to support disabled and non-disabled people to enjoy being active together and get some of the UK's least active people moving more through fun and inclusive activities.
Inactivity levels across the UK are a major concern. 6 in 10 people in the UK fail to exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes once a week. For some demographic groups, such as women and girls, older people and disabled people, activity levels are even lower.
Through GOGA we engage and motivate people by tapping into their individual values and the things that matter most to them. This includes building friendships, maintaining health, having fun and progressing in life. GOGA aims to reach those with greatest need, contributing to measurable health and wellbeing benefits for individuals and stronger, more cohesive and active societies. It offers genuinely inclusive opportunities for everyone and also engages many volunteers and peer mentors.
