More about GemeinschaftsErlebnis Sport
GEMEINSCHAFTSERLEBNIS SPORT (GES) is a social project that offers programs for all young people in Stuttgart, Germany. We are using sports as a tool to provide educational opportunities, especially for those in social needs. In cooperation with over 200 partners such as schools or youth welfare, we develop social and cross-cultural competences, soft skills and support children in their upgrowth. Every week, we offer more than 150 programs to implement a long-lasting engagement, with a current and flexible interaction with target groups and differentiated programs. Our programs are open for everyone, for free and organized and operated by professional social workers, teachers or sport pedagogues. One method of ours is making sports possible without pressure, empowering young people to have fun and enjoy being in motion to experience a sense of achievement and self-awareness. The audience our programs are addressed to in particular include refugees, disabled people, girls with or from other cultural background or kids with family-, behavior- or school problems, children who do not speak German or previously convicted persons.
