More about G4S-Bhubesi Pride Foundation Programme
This is the G4S Africa Region’s fourth year in partnering with the Bhubesi Pride Foundation (BPF), a development through sport initiative and G4S’s premier pan-African CSR project. Rugby is used as an educational vehicle to UNITE communities through rugby by promoting the sport’s values and delivering life skills lessons, EMPOWER and up-skill local staff, male and female, to maximize sustainability and to INSPIRE long-term developmental outcomes via tangible G4S legacy projects. The initiative matches our company values, as well as our key CSI objectives. G4S believes that sport is the one thing that breaches all cultural, social and economic divides and it provides a great platform to empower people. The impact of the 2016 programme was profound and exceeded all expectations. The partnership touched the lives of 3548 children (boys and girls) from 53 schools in 9 African countries. 330 G4S employees dedicated over 6680 hours of their time to support activities that were offered alongside the official rugby coaching.
