Our Project is developed in Mae Sot, a city located on the Thai-Burma border.
Due to the political conflict in Burma, many people are displaced Thailand and Mae Sot and surroundings are the hottest points. These people have to face a very precarious situation.
There are many projects in this area but most of them follow the same pattern, being focus only on the Burmese population and creating more division between Burmese and Thai community.
We believe in integration as a key for development. Thus we use the transformative power of football to educate and empower Burmese refugees and migrants displaced in Thailand. Through football we help these disadvantaged children build essential life skills and better futures, while building community cohesion among the different refugee communities. A key contributor to that community cohesion is their fully integration in Thai society.
A regular football training program including Thai kids, and inscription in Thai competitions will be the tool that we´ll use to bring these two communities together and break with judges and stereotypes.These kids are the future, these kids are the change.
