More about Football meets Culture
The children of our group come from social disadvantaged backgrounds. Many of them don’t speak German fluently and therefore have a lot of problems in school. They get for two years two hours of Football training and two hours of additonal lessons each week, also once a month a cultural event. While they were trained to play football, they learn to follow rules and to play in a team.
Teambuilding is also essential for their work in class and their social behaviour. They learn better and have more fun to learn. The teacher in the additional lessons use also football themes to teach reading, writing and calculating – and to learn the German language. The Children feel strong as a group, as a team and like it.
