More about Football for Life Academy
The Football for Life Champions Academy (F4L:ACA), FundLife’s flagship programme, is a specialised, play-based intervention using football and local youth leaders to support children through primary and secondary education and break the culture of poverty and inequitable entitlement in the Philippines.
Since it was set-up in 2014 as an emergency response programme to Typhoon Haiyan it has established itself as a vital foundation to supporting and equipping the world's least privileged children to, first understand, and then provide a path for youth break from the cycle of intergenerational poverty and dependence.
As of December 2016, F4L:ACA reaches up to 500 children across 10 marginalised communities every week. The programme employs community youth champions that use football as a means to combat opportunity deficit, social immobility and education inequity through a delivery of a sustainable behavioural change model.
