The project uses social power of football (Soccer) to address lack of sense of belonging, trust and confident among diverse societies in Kayin State, one of the most war-torn states in Myanmar. By providing opportunities to Myanmar university students to lead and manage football-based social cohesion, grassroots peace and reconciliation program in their local and mobilise the conflict-affected communities to be able to take part in grassroots peace building process. The ultimate aim of the project is to contribute regional initiatives on promotion of harmonious and cohesive society, and healing of social wounds brought about by long drawn internal armed conflict in Kayin state in Myanmar.
