One of the city’s biggest social issues is youth unemployment. With the club brand’s power of communication as effective means and the stadium’s facilities, we create temporary jobs to develop the young people’s employee assets and experience. By using the first team as a metaphor for competencies such as teamwork, achieving goals and developing personal assets.
The Jobscorers go through four fases, of three months each. They start as a goalkeeper, move to being defender, midfielder and after finishing as a striker, we try to transfer them to the transfer market.
All new Jobscorers start working on restoring a DIY House on the youth complex. They learn basic employee skills, with an emphasis on working together.
After fase 1 (goalkeeper) the Jobscorers are rewarded with a certificate and start moving into the organisation (club shop, food and beverages, storage etc.) They fully get to work in the department and learn to develop on both competency as well as on a social level.
After four certificates the young people are helped in finding a (steady) job outside of the Feyenoord organisation, with help of the Feyenoord Business Club.
