Education+Sports= The Best Formula It is a comprehensive education program, complementing academics with physical education classes, sports and recreation. The target population is the most vulnerable of Colombian children between the ages 5-18.
The objective is to strengthen values, teaching them how to make better use of their free time, so that they will have a healthier and brighter future, far from drug abuse, prostitution, illegal groups and violence. Also the importance to have an Active Life The program involves - Improvement of sports fields - Hiring of full-time PE teachers - Donations of sports equipment and materials Divided into three components Educational: PE teachers offer classes to Elementary School children according to a pre-established program designed for each developmental stage. Through play and physical activities they work to instill values and make children better individuals.
Sports: Teachers identify the sports activities most popular in the local community to develop the sports programs and specific activities most beneficial to that population. Recreational: Community integration activities are developed to foster growth and personal development of children, teenagers and young adults, instilling “the culture of peace” in the community. Other sports, cultural and recreational activities are organized to fill free time and improve community relations. .
