More about Dreamfields Project
Our approach is summed up in our slogan: We Grow Dreams. Dreamfields decided to focus on schools, where levels of participation in sport in general and soccer in particular have dropped, to the detriment of the overall educational environment. The Dreamfields Project set out to deliver three things: DreamFields – We wanted to leave a physical legacy in target communities. Dreamfields builds football fields, especially in rural areas. We create basic facilities – a level playing surface; a fence and goalposts; basic maintenance equipment and a container for storage. DreamBags – As our basic building block we wanted to create a product that was more immediate and accessible. A DreamBag contains soccer balls, 15 sets of football shirts, shorts and socks, and 15 pairs of boots and shin pads.
Boot sizes are matched to each player, and the kit is provided in the colour of the school, and branded with the logo of the contributor. DreamEvents – These are all-day tournaments, where the schools meet contributors, to celebrate their love of the beautiful game and to launch the process of building up ongoing league football activity in those schools.
