More about Connected By The City
The project "Connected By The City" has used the sport as a main connector of people and organizations to reach other latent social problems in underprivileged communities of Rio de Janeiro.
Sport is the passion of many people of all social classes, and for this reason we use as a hook to engage local people for other socio-educational activations that are very important but do not have the proper attention and the same attraction.
Such as the correct disposal of garbage; recycling, handwashing education to combat child mortality, improvement of self-esteem in childhood, women empowerment through entrepreneurship and physical inactivity combat.
It all was only possible because Unilever developed a sport environment to engage people, using its brands with a sustainability purpose.
