3 Sisters Adventure Trekking is a first woman owned trekking company established by 3 Nepali sisters specialization in offering trained female guides and assistants for woman trekkers. It all started back in early 1990s when tourism picking up in Nepal. During that time Nepali women were not working in tourism.
The main reason to start this company is to provide female trekking guide and assistant services for solo woman trekkers for a hassle free trek in the Himalayas. Keeping on mind to provide job opportunity for the rural disadvantaged women who were deprived from job opportunities. The founders initiated guiding in the Himalayas by themselves to find the possibilities of woman guide. After much struggle and hardship they were able to establish their own company in 1998. Their determination to make women trekking guide in Nepal compel to establish a training center. Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN) is an NGO working together with 3 Sisters Trekking Company for the quality women resource development in trekking tourism. Thus, they were able to make women confident and as well help them become financially strong. The main motto of the organization is to promote gender equality
