More about Cityzens Giving
Cityzens Giving is a charitable programme that allows fans to decide how projects are funded, helping young leaders in six countries use the football effect to tackle the most serious social problems in each region.
In March 2014, City Football Group (CFG), whose family of clubs include Manchester City FC, Major League Soccer franchise New York City FC and A-League side Melbourne City FC, announced a £400,000 charitable investment as part of Cityzens Giving, a programme which allows City fans to use the power of football to unite people from different backgrounds – the 'football effect' – around areas of need globally.
The fund supports young people to use football as a tool in their communities to address the most pressing local social issues.
The projects have been designed by young people for other young people.
