The 'heart' of the Child- and Youthcenter is the Football School. We use it to call the children of the streets. Beside football training the participants have to take part in our tutoring groups to improve their school performance. The Center also offers free internet access, computer- and language courses, educational (Aids, drug-abuse, etc.) and cultural activities and workshops. We work closely together with the parents/guardians of the children as well as with the local schools and other institutions. The Center also hosts a clayproject. With the clayey earth around the center we produce terracotta-tiles. The production is in its development phase. Aim is, that in the near future the terracotta production will create employment and contribute to the operational costs of the Center. Another project of the Center which started just recently is the production of a wall newspaper. Title: give the population a voice! Objective of all the activities is to improve the creativity and the self confidence of the children and adolescentes in order to be able to contribute to the main objective of creating future perspectives.
