More about Chicago Fire Foundation
The team and Foundation work closely together to use the sport of soccer to educate and promote awareness of basic human rights, and focus on social issues within our community, such as discrimination and poverty. With soccer as our fundamental tool we were able to establish and build our Foundation which, as the charitable arm of the soccer club, enables us to raise the much needed funds and create programs that combat these social issues.
Through player PSA’s and programs such as “Scoring through Education” and “Active Bodies, Active Minds” the team promotes awareness of the right to education and provides children the tools to succeed in school. Also, the team and Foundation join together to provide a safe and fan-friendly environment that is free of discrimination. We want to make sure that everyone who visits our stadium has a positive experience and is treated with respect.
Also, through funds raised by the Foundation’s “Kicks for Kids” program, underprivileged children are given the opportunity to attend a Fire game. By working together the team and Foundation provides equality for all people by showing the impact that the “world’s sport” can have on each and every life we touch.
