More about Chicago Fire Foundation
The team and Foundation work closely together to use the sport of soccer to educate and promote awareness of the issues of childhood obesity, education and environmental responsibility. With soccer as our fundamental tool, we were able to establish and build our Foundation, which as the charitable arm of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, enables us to raise the much needed funds and create programs that combat these issues. “Scoring Through Education” is a free, in-class incentive program designed to help motivate students to achieve educational success.
To date, this program has had more than 55,000 students participate. Upon completion of the program, students are rewarded with a ticket to a Chicago Fire game. Through our Passback Program, the Foundation collects soccer equipment and is able to donate to those in need. Our relationships with community organizations Urban Initiatives and America SCORES Chicago allows us to partner with groups that are utilizing the power of soccer to promote and foster academic success and healthy habits in school aged kids.
