More about Chelsea Football Club CSR Programme
Chelsea use the power of football and the popularity of the club to provide a range of sporting, educational and health opportunities to millions of people every year. Through these progammes we also use football as a delivery vehicle to provide a range of social inclusion initiatives and promote healthy lifestyle schemes to get people in our communities to improve their health, education and employment opportunities. Our work with our national charity partner, Clic Sargent, has raised over £1.5m to help over 1000 families fight childhood cancer. On an international level our work with Right To Play is helping tackle disease poverty and conflict through sport. Millions of young people and their families in Africa, Asia and South America are now benefiting from this relationship. Our anti-discrimination work has helped fight racism and other forms of prejudice both at Stamford Bridge and our communities. We have undertaken numerous campaigns both at our ground and in local schools to educate our communities whilst our work promoting environmental responsibility has led to the club committing to reduce carbon emissions by 10%. We have also undertaken projects to engage our staff and our fans to reduce their own carbon footprints.
