More about Chapeltown FYDC
CFYDC (Chance) is a Registered Charity which consists of a group of motivated volunteers whose objectives are to assist the development of children and young people in Leeds. We are called “CHANCE” because for many young people they are getting a second opportunity after going astray or taking the wrong path. For some children it is a chance to be mentored and develop from an early age.
It involves young aged 5 to 18 regardless of background, race, sex or ethnicity. We provide organised sports and self development activities to raise and realise aspirations. ‘CHANCE’ is also eager to develop and deliver healthy living strategies for children.
CFYDC (Chance) encourages youth development in a safe, respectable and stimulating environment. The ultimate objective is to help provide disadvantaged young people with every opportunity to fulfil their potential and ambitions. We also strongly encourage and support their participation in education. Our long term aim is to provide the training, resources and support so that boys and girls of all backgrounds can participate at the highest level possible and fulfil their ambitions in whatever field they choose.
