BYCFP actively targets the hardest to reach young people. These are those most adversely affected by or involved in crime, gangs or violence, and those not in schools.
To improve the living standards of people living in slums and marginalised areas of Bukavu; (Eastern DR Congo through educational, skills training and support. BYCFP is an ongoing project which uses sport and physical activities to empower and sensitize youth (girls/boys) through different programmes aimed at leadership and professional development.
There is also a programme with a focus on primary school children. The Centre utilizes various sports in all of these programmes on a day to day basis to realize the potential of young (girls/boys) people in the local community and to teach them about social and health issues present within the community.
